At Stomani Cellars our focus is in making great Italian style wines from the best fruit available from Washington State wine growing regions, the Yakima Valley AVA and the Wahluke Slope AVA. Often when reading about wines, "well balanced" is a phrase often used. You will find that the wines of Stomani Cellars this balance will be evident to the palate, the nose and your pocket!
Our passion in winemaking is in working with the best Italian grape varieties like Sangiovese and Nebbiolo, blending these with the best Bordeaux varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. With Stomani Cellars, you will also see a few lesser known Italian varietals like Dolcetto and Barbera. At harvest, all of our fruit is hand picked, we haul our fruit from the vineyard to the winery early in the day, minimizing the time before "crush". We hand sort, gently crush, press and age in the best French and American Oak barrels.
Our special barrel selections each year result in the creation of two unique wine blends. The first is a red wine blend we call "insieme", an Italian for "Together", representing our approach to wine making. The second "riflessione", Italian for "Reflection", showcasing the fruit.
Stomani Cellars is a founding member of the 85 Atlantic Artisan Vintners, a cooperative wine making endeavour of four very passionate winemakers.
